Tim's Tai Chi journey began on Wednesday 9th Feb 2005 at Rocheway Adult Education Centre in Rochford, Essex. I had tried to get onto the course the previous September but it was fully booked. I carried on there with our class soon moving to Thursdays and led by our dear Ann Spreadborough, ably assisted by Jo Crancher.  During the first Summer of my journey we used Hawkwell Parish Hall to continue learning the Square form, before we moved on to the Round form of Tai Chi Chuan.  In 2006 I was honoured by Ann and the lovely ladies in my class by being put forward for an award which I was really chuffed to accept.  By the close of the Summer term in 2007 Ann gave up teaching at Rocheway and we then joined her class at the Guild Hall in Prittlewell where we remained.  In April 2008 Ann arranged for us to attend a Tai Chi event in Oxford, where we practiced other forms of Tai Chi and where we met Ann's mentor Dan Docherty. A brilliant weekend bringing our Tai Chi family closer together and with snowball fights too! Sadly our dear Ann left us for a Home in the Sky in 2014, but our smashing Jo has kept us together.  From my original class of around 14 eventually only 7 of us remained from Rocheway, the rest just faded away. Now only 6 (including dear Ann's constant presence). What a mentor and dear friend she was and is - so inspiring. I'm blessed and glad to have found such a rewarding and spiritual family. Thank you.
